Privacy Policy – UK

SuperChoice recognises the importance of data privacy for our clients and their customers and employees. We understand that by allowing us to process your data we must be vigilant in our security and data privacy practices. SuperChoice adheres to its internal policies and procedures while remaining compliant with all applicable privacy laws including but not limited to the UK GDPR.

This privacy policy advises you about SuperChoice’s practices and the choices you may make regarding the processing of your data, and how to exercise your rights in relation to your personal data. Our privacy policy does not apply to any personal data we process on behalf of our clients. The data processing contracts that we have without clients dictate how we are to process your personal data on behalf of our clients. Therefore, if you are a customer or employee of one of our clients and have questions or concerns about the processing of your personal data, we recommend that you contact them directly.

Personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or indentifiable natural person. Such a person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifying piece or pieces of information, such as a name, identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to that natural person.

Data collection

We may collect or receive your personal data in a number of different ways:

Directly:

  • You voluntarily submit it to us or when completing an online contact form

 

  • Your employer provides information to us for the purposes of receiving our services
  • Third party sources, for example, where we collect information about you to assist with “know your client” checks as part of our client acceptance procedures or where we receive information about you from recruitment agencies for recruitment purposes
  • Where you provide it to us directly, for example by corresponding with us by email, or via other direct interactions with us such as completing a form on our website or registering for and using one of our online tools
  • Where we monitor use of, or interactions with, our websites, any marketing we may send to you, or other email communications sent from or received by us
  • Third party sources, for example, where we collect information about you to assist with “know your client” checks as part of our client acceptance procedures or where we receive information about you from recruitment agencies for recruitment purposes; or
  • Publicly available sources – we may, for example, use such sources to help us keep the contact details we already hold for you accurate and up to date

Indirectly:

  • Using cookies on our website and other technologies

If you interact with us in response to marketing activities we will be able to access certain information about such interactions, such as the type of questions being asked.

SuperChoice operates in both Australia and the UK, therefore you should be aware that we may need to transfer it to other countries where we have data centres or where we do business. The international transfer of person data will be covered by the UK GDPR.

Purpose of Processing

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • to enable you to contact us via our website or another website
  • to receive marketing information based on the information you request on our website.

This information will be used by us to provide you with the requested services or materials and can be used for further processing for marketing purposes, with your consent.

We may also use your data for marketing purposes when we have obtained your prior opt in consent and/or have a legitimate interest in providing the information to you.

Data Retention

We retain your data while a client is actively using our platform. When a client leaves our platform we retain your data in back up for a period of 2 years.

Security of your Personal Data

Any personal information processed by us is kept on secure hosting services. SuperChoice uses all reasonable technical and administrative, personnel and physical measures to keep your personal data safe against loss or unauthorised access, use, disclosure or modification and to ensure the integrity of the data. SuperChoice ensures that the processing of your data is only for the purposes mentioned in this privacy notice and to keep data no longer than is required.

Who can access your personal data

Your personal data may be accessed by:

  • our external service providers for advertising and marketing and customer relationship support and management which have been authorised to store this data.
  • SuperChoice personnel that have been formally authorised to do so to provide our services.

Your rights

You have the following rights:

  • Access to information relating to how your personal data is processed
  • Access to your personal data we process
  • Request deletion of your personal data we hold
  • Restriction of processing of your personal data which allows you to control how your data is processed
  • Object to the processing of your personal data and require SuperChoice to cease processing your data
  • Request the rectification of any personal data hold on your behalf which you believe is incorrect or inaccurate
  • Request a copy of your personal information being processed by us.
